Choose the Perfect Floor Plan for Movie Night
Walden at Chatham Center offers a selection of thoughtfully designed 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartment homes, so you can tailor your movie night experience to your style and guest list.
- For an intimate vibe: An A1 - Ridgecrest One Bedroom could be perfect for a cozy couple's or small group gathering, with its plush living room and breakfast bar for snack stations.
- Hosting a crowd? The C1 - Walden with Sunroom floor plan boasts expansive living space and an airy sunroom, making it ideal for spreading out, setting extra seats, and, if you dare, adding a haunted corner or themed photo booth!
Setting the Stage: Living Room Comfort Meets Spooky
Take advantage of your Walden at Chatham Center living room-the open layouts, natural light by day, and soft, elegant lighting by night. Here's how:
- Organize your viewing area with plenty of plush seating. Stack pillows, drape cozy blankets, and rearrange the furniture to maximize sightlines to the TV.
- Dim the lights for suspense. Use lamps or string lights to create a shadowy ambiance, drawing the curtains to enhance the movie atmosphere. Take advantage of large windows to enjoy flickering candlelight reflections.
- Blackout the room for those midday matinees: blackout shades work wonders, but so do DIY cardboard and tape for a once-a-year party.
Screen & Sound: Enhance the Viewing Experience
- Tech check: Make sure your TV or projector is updated and your streaming apps are ready.
- Bluetooth speakers or a soundbar in your living room will make those jump scares and suspenseful music truly spine-tingling.
- Optional: Projector-If you have a portable projector, project the film onto a blank wall for a mini-theater effect. Larger floor plans, like the B2 - Brookstone with Sunroom, have ample wall space for this setup.
Snack Attack: Ghoulish Goodies from the Kitchen
Walden at Chatham Center's gourmet chef's kitchens, complete with black appliances, maple cabinetry, and a breakfast bar, make prepping party nibbles easy and fun.
- Popcorn station: Set up your breakfast bar as a popcorn mix-ins counter-think candy, pretzels, hot sauce, or chocolate drizzle. Your spacious kitchen pantry will keep extra snacks at arm's reach.
- Savannah favorites: If you love to bake, make use of those ample countertops for crafting spooky cupcakes or cookies.
- Drink ideas: Mix up blood-red punch or keep it simple with soda floats. Don't forget to use your spacious fridge for chilling the essentials.
